For those of you out there who are looking for cheap cellular long distance you should give MobileMiser a try.
“What is MobileMiser?” you ask. MobileMiser was created by one of the original founders of LavaLife – Rasool Verjee and it makes use of callBack Direct in order to make long distance calls.
How it works:
- You sign up for an account on the MobileMiser website.
- Associate your most called long distance number(s) with a specific local number
- Fill up your account with additional funds using a credit card
- Dial the local number you associated in step 2- you will get a busy signal so hang up
- Then MobileMiser will call you back and begin connecting your call
It’s pretty easy and they have more detailed instructions on how to use their service on the website. If you make lots of long distance calls within Canada or to the US or anywhere overseas then MobileMiser is definitely worth checking out. I’m not too sure how the rates compare to using a landline/cellphone and a long distance calling card or a cellular phone plan with long distance calling functionality, but I guess you can make the judgment for yourself by visiting the MobileMiser Rates page.
