Days 3 & 4 of TV Turnoff Week

Seems that time passes much quicker as you get older.   I don’t recall time ever passing this quickly.  I’m already more than half way through TV Turnoff Week.  It’s funny how easily I’ve been able to fill in the time that I would normally spend watching television.  Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been too stellar over the past couple of days, but I’ve still found ways to fill the void as it were.

I spent the better part of Wednesday evening going over my taxes again because I was far too tired and unaware of what I was doing on Monday evening.  And I spent Thursday night catching up with my friend Sam, who I hadn’t seen in years.

When you work downtown and hang out there as well, it’s really hard to avoid television.  And it’s hard for me to tell if I instinctively look at the screens and just become momentarily mezmerized by them.  But I usually find that I tend to look away at them, because I know that once I stare at them, I’ll probably get sucked in.

There are just a couple of days left, and I think I’m anxious to get back to my video games, although at the moment, I don’t miss them as much as I thought I might.  But who am I kidding, I’m such a big video gaming nerd, I really don’t think I can stay away from them.   :)
