Today at the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda unveiled a new concept car named Puyo. Puyo is a Japanese weird used to describe something with soft, sponge-like texture. The car is covered in a soft silicone (akin to iPod Covers or mousepads) and has no sharp edges. The material used for the inside & outside of the car allows it to withstand light collisions – although it is unknown how much of a collision the Puyo can withstand before getting all wrecked up.
Other features of the car include the use of a joystick to drive it, and a fuel-cell (which creates electricity from hydrogen fuel and oxygen and emits only water). So it’s environmentally friendly and on the leading edge of pedestrian safety. It also glows different colours depending on the state of motion it is in (i.e. running versus standing still), so it’s got that Japanese super-cutesy factor working for it too. When will you be able to pick one of these up? It’s most likely coming to the market around the year 2020.

Oh and yay on me for 2 posts in the same day. I’m on a roll!
