The first bouts of snow have fallen on the city, but that shouldn’t damper your spirits and prevent you from enjoying some of the events that the city has going on this weekend.
If you feel like kicking off your weekend with some fancy food and drinks, why not check out the 14th Annual Gourmet Food & Wine Expo at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. There will be tutored wine tastings as well as some fabulous food. General admission is $15 and the expo is going on all weekend long.
Continuing on the alcohol theme, you may want to check out LCBO Summer Hill today. They have two different events that run from 4pm – 8pm. The first event is The Margarita King, where attendees can sample a Margarita Mix created by Giovanni Fernandez for patrons in his San Francisco restaurants. The second event is The Vintages Tasting where you can join in on the tasting of Inniskillin Pinot Noir Montague Vineyard.
Artists for Animals is holding a Silent Auction to benefit The Canadian Coalition for Farm Animals. Admission is $10 at the door and there will be plenty of music and prizes.
Once the snowfalls, people start getting into Christmas mode so there are a couple of events that are Christmas-themed going on this weekend.
If you head down to the Harbourfront Centre this Saturday or Sunday you can check out The Swedish Christmas Festival. It’s a great event for the entire family, that includes entertainment, a children’s Christmas workshop, and a Swedish market. Best of all, the event is free.
Pasko Sa Toronto, is happening on the 23rd of November at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It’s a celebration of Filipino Christmas Tradition. It will feature singers, dancers, lots of food and games. General admission to the event is $20.
Have a good weekend and if you have any events that you want to add, leave a comment and I’ll be sure to post them up.
